1. I thought that this story did an excellent job of what I think it was intended to do which is make the reader question why schools and society is set up to try and get everyone to be "average" when we should be encouraging people to use things they are better at than others and let them do those things. One of the parts that stuck out to me was when the author described the eel and how he had the best average so he was chosen to be the valedictorian. It stuck out because it showed how people who prove themselves to be the best at being average are the people who are usually rewarded which i do not think is how the world should be.

2. I think this example is a very good example of satire because it gets the point across that if a college was good they wouldn't have a commercial and they even state it at the end of the video to make sure people get the point. they also do a very good job at satirizing college life with all of the examples of what usual college commercials have.
